Simply Irresistible

Simply Irresistible - Rachel Gibson 3.5 stars. I wouldn't have liked this book as much if I hadn't listened to it. The narrator's Texas drawl for Georgeanne was just great. Also the name Georgeanne rolling off her tongue was great too. This book dawdled a bit for me, but I liked the meet-cute at the beginning. I usually hate "secret babies" but I could deal with it here, though it still wasn't my favorite. Gibson does a really good job setting up Georgeanne and John's characters. Their chemistry was palpable. I could have done without the friend: Mae have a romance side-story. It was really minor and I don't think the book benefited from including it. It's a series though so maybe it was set up for one of the next ones. Overall, this is an oldie but a goodie.
