Unbeautifully

Unbeautifully - Madeline Sheehan I enjoyed this one a lot more than Sheehan's first book in this series about Deuce and Eva. I had trouble with the severely expedited pacing in that book. She bumped them through whole years in a matter of chapters. It was hard to feel involved in the story rushing through it like that.

This one was more my speed. Sort of Kristen Ashley-esque with the motorcycle club. I liked Ripper as a damaged hero he worked for me most of the time. Though, a couple of his actions with regard to his lady loves, even for a hardened, motorcycle-riding criminal were a bit of a head scratcher.

I will say this book has a A LOT of swearing. I honestly have no problem with swearing. Usually I think it lends authenticity to the characters. Here, Ms. Sheehan may have gone overboard. There was so much cursing it was almost distracting to the story. Some of the dialogue was difficult to read through all the f-bombs.
