Nevermore

Nevermore - Kelly Creagh Found the narrator and protagonist to be a rather annoying caricature of a teenage girl. The writing also seemed unpracticed, but this is the author's first novel. However, the story did grow on me by the end of the book and I'll be looking for the second book out next year. The romance was a bit thin for my tastes but the heroine's voice improved greatly by the end of the story. I also think I judged this book a bit harshly, having come off some fantastically well written teen novels in the last year. Most recently The Daughter of Smoke and Bone, which I highly recommend to fans of this genre.
