Echo and Noah are a great couple, a readable couple, a couple that you want to route for, but the writing tripped me up. There is a chronic problem with adult women writing adolescent male POV and this book falls right into all those traps. I couldn't suspend my disbelief to think that Noah would be obsessed with what Echo was wearing, or keep calling her "his siren" in his mind. He is 18, that isn't going to happen. As for not pushing her to go all the way with him, I don't know that I believe that either. He's just not that guy. I liked Echo and Noah and thought they were well developed characters, but I don't understand why romance novels always have to fall into such formulaic writing traps, maybe some people really like that, I don't.
